Last night, Miami-Dade County Daniella Levine Cava convened a virtual town meeting about the proposed FY 22-23 budget for the arts and cultural community. Mayor Levine Cava shared the great news that her proposed budget includes increased support for the arts and progressively addresses many other key issues facing our community.

Join us and hear from national nonprofit leader Ramona Baker, Director, Master of Arts in Arts Administration at Goucher College and Principal, Ramona Baker Consulting, as she explores how overcoming challenges and learning from the obstacles are important keys to success.
There was no litigation filed by the City of Miami regarding the Coconut Grove Playhouse by the Third Court of Appeals-extended deadline of June 6, 2022. Consequently, the Court’s ruling in favor of Miami-Dade County is the final action and provides the go ahead for work to begin on the construction phase of the Playhouse project.
The next steps include finalizing the permit with the City of Miami to begin work necessary for the existing building.

The Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs has released guidelines and deadline schedules for the fiscal year 2022-2023 fall cycle of arts and cultural grants programs available to Miami-Dade County based nonprofit cultural groups.
