Nonprofit Funding Impact Survey: Understanding the Effects of Public Funding Reductions on South Florida Nonprofits - Respond by Friday, May 23rd

As part of our ongoing effort to identify the best ways to support cultural organizations in this moment, we've partnered with our regional philanthropic peers to develop a survey to better understand the size and scope of recent and anticipated public funding cuts affecting nonprofit organizations.

Our shared goal is to assess the potential impact on services, staffing, and communities, and explore how we can be most responsive and supportive.

Each nonprofit organization is encouraged to designate one respondent—ideally the Executive Director, CEO, CFO, or another senior staff member with knowledge of your organization’s funding sources, operations, and strategic planning. Only one submission per organization is requested.

Click here to complete the survey
Please submit your initial survey response by Friday, May 23rd.

Please note that all responses will be stored securely, kept confidential, and reported only in aggregate, anonymized form. You are encouraged to review the Survey Purpose and Data Use Statement for additional information.

Call for Grant Panelists!
The deadline to submit is Tuesday, May 20, 2025

The Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs invites members of the community to apply to serve as a grant panelist. We are seeking individuals interested in volunteering their time to review applications for cultural grants funding from Miami-Dade County, through the Cultural Affairs Council and administered by the Department of Cultural Affairs.

Each year the Department of Cultural Affairs relies on the services of many volunteer panelists, who review and evaluate grant applications and make funding recommendations. Panelists play a key role and help maintain a fair and open process and assist in the continuous development of Miami-Dade County’s artistic and cultural communities by bringing their expertise to the panel review process. Panels are comprised of artists, arts-related professionals, educators, community members, business leaders and others with current or prior active involvement in the arts. Many panelists are arts professionals who are qualified by their activities, training, skills, and/or experience in one or more art forms; however, we equally welcome arts enthusiasts, advocates, and supporters to apply.

Click here for more information and to fill out the Grant Panelist Nomination Form online.
