I want to thank everyone who came out to the first hearing to make their voices heard, and our dedicated county staff working behind the scenes to put together this budget and engage our community. On August 29, 2024, the Third District Court of Appeal dismissed opposing counsel’s appeal, meaning that the lower court’s decision in favor of Miami-Dade County stands.
On May 7, 2024, the Appellate Division of the Circuit Court of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit denied the opposing counsel’s second motion for a rehearing, once again reaffirming its ruling in favor of Miami-Dade County, granting the County’s appeal regarding the Coconut Grove Playhouse.
