The Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs participated in a community meeting regarding the Coconut Grove Playhouse project. This public meeting was hosted by City of Miami Commissioner Pardo, District 2,  and attended by Miami-Dade County Commissioner Regalado, District 7, on Monday, June 22, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. The meeting was held at Miami City Hall, located at 3500 Pan American Drive, Miami, FL 33133.

Cultural Affairs provided a  presentation that shared the architectural approach to the project and outlined the next steps needed to begin Phase 2, which includes the completion of the Historic Gateway Building, construction of a state-of-the-art theater and public parking garage.
