Miami Emerging Arts Leaders - Conversations with Miami’s Cultural Pioneers: Rosie Gordon-Wallace

Join the Miami Emerging Arts Leaders for a virtual interview with arts advocate, community leader, and pioneer, Rosie Gordon-Wallace, Founder and Curator of the Diaspora Vibe Cultural Arts Incubator (DVCAI), with opening remarks by Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs Director Michael Spring.  DVCAI serves as a local and global laboratory dedicated to promoting, nurturing, and cultivating the vision and diverse talents of emerging artists from the Caribbean Diaspora, artists of color, and immigrant artists.

Last night, Miami-Dade County Daniella Levine Cava convened a virtual town meeting about the proposed FY 22-23 budget for the arts and cultural community. Mayor Levine Cava shared the great news that her proposed budget includes increased support for the arts and progressively addresses many other key issues facing our community.

Contracting Opportunity: Design Services for the New African Heritage Cultural Arts Center

The Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs is seeking talented architects, engineers, and specialty consultants to design a new African Heritage Cultural Arts Center in Liberty City. The new building or campus would replace the existing, aged facility at its current location, 6161 NW 22nd Avenue in Miami, Florida.
