April Survey Results – IMPACT OF CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19)

Dear Colleagues,

The total financial impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on nonprofit arts and cultural organizations is now estimated at $43 million with 5,377 arts and cultural jobs affected, based on aggregate data from the monthly COVID-19 Survey of Impact on Miami-Dade County's Cultural Community, conducted by the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs.

Here are the combined results of the survey of non-profit arts and cultural organizations substantiating the COVID-19 financial and job losses and the breakdown for the months of March and April.

More Federal Funds: How to Apply

The Paycheck Protection (PPP) has reopened with new funding approved by Congress. Our colleagues at the Beacon Council have made a resource available to “small businesses” to help navigate the federal opportunities for COVID-19 support. “Small businesses” include 501(c)3 organizations with less than 500 employees.

Opportunities for Nonprofits and Individuals - Congress Replenishes Paycheck Protection Program and SBA Emergency Loans

Please see the notice below from the Americans for the Arts Action Fund regarding the availability of additional federal funds available through the Coronavirus Aid,  Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act’s Paycheck Protection Program (PPP). Nonprofits and self-employed individuals can access $60 billion of these PPP funds reserved for community banks to process loans for smaller groups.
