Tourist Development Council Grants Program (TDC)

A quarterly program which provides support to significant cultural and/or special events, including sports activities and television/film origination projects that promote Miami-Dade County’s appeal as a tourist destination. Activities must be able to stimulate tourism and have significant media impact for Miami-Dade County.

FY 2021-2022 – Artist Access Grants Program – Fall Cycle

Funded by Miami-Dade County and offered in partnership with FUNDarte, the Artist Access Grant Program is designed to assist practicing, professional artists in any medium or discipline residing in Miami-Dade County pursue opportunities that will advance their practice and careers in demonstrable ways.
Eligible opportunities include artistic professional development and skill-building opportunities, as well as financial offset of equipment purchase and studio rental. Applications will consider how the potential, timeliness, and impact of the opportunity will forward the artist’s career. See grant guidelines and details.
Art in Public Places Art Opportunity
Miami Shores Fine Arts Commission Open Call to Artists
Call To Artists Fall 2021, $5,000 total commission.
The Fine Arts Commission announces an Open Call for a public art project in Miami Shores Village, FL., (MSV).
Working professional artists may submit existing work for consideration.
From the Open Call, five finalists will be selected to prepare full proposals for new work at a prime median location in the Miami Shores community This is a paid opportunity with a $250 honorarium for the five artists selected.
From the finalists, one artist will be selected to fabricate the site-specific structures.
Timeline:
Applications with prior works samples are due by September 8, 2021.
FAC review will take place Sept. 14, 2021.
Five Selected artists will be notified on/before Sept. 21st.

2022 Cinematic Arts Residency Program
Oolite Arts has officially opened the call for the 2022 Cinematic Arts Residency Program. One lucky filmmaker will receive up to $50k to create a narrative micro-budget feature, a dedicated producer, and access to a shared cinematic arts studio space.

2021-2022 South Florida Cultural Consortium (SFCC) Grant
Deadline: Monday, October 25, 2021
The South Florida Cultural Consortium Grant Program offers the largest regional, government-sponsored artists’ grants in the United States, awarding $15,000 and $7,500 grants to resident visual and media artists from the counties of Broward, Martin, Miami-Dade, Monroe, and Palm Beach. Since it was established in 1988, the Consortium has awarded over to $4 million in grants to over 300 artists. In addition to receiving the grant, the artists take part in an exhibition hosted and organized by a visual arts institution in one of the five counties. See application details and guidelines.

Resilience and How to Navigate through Life's Challenges

Smith, a workforce engagement specialist and motivational speaker, for a presentation and discussion on the importance of a resilient mindset and how to activate it in the face of adversity. Nicole has more than 20 years experience in sports and entertainment, radio, TV, and the performing arts. An author, motivational speaker, and founder of Step It Up! dance organization, she currently serves as the Manager of Volunteer Services/Internship Program at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County. Partnering for Vaccine Equity: Content Management of Vaccine Resource Hub
The Request for Proposals seeks to secure the services of a contractor to solicit, receive, evaluate, tag and upload vaccine-related assets to the Partnering for Vaccine Equity’s Resource Hub that will launch in late August 2021. The CDC Foundation will partner with an organization that has a proven track record of successfully curating high quality public health content. The selected Content Manager will demonstrate extensive knowledge of public health, information science and the expertise to manage content.

Submit cultural events for the 2022 Golden Ticket Arts Guide
The Golden Ticket Arts Guide provides free admission to seniors. The new guide will be available in January 2022. Cultural organizations that wish to participate may access the event submission form. Event listings should take place January 1-September 30, 2022. Learn more about the Golden Ticket program here. Deadline to submit is September 30, 2021. Questions?
