As part of the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs' Art Energize 305 initiative, you can attend workshops to learn about opportunities for artists, arts groups and nonprofit community organizations in-person in each County Commission district. Community Grants Program (CG)

A quarterly program for nonprofit organizations developing small and large-scale community-based cultural programs (dance, theater, music, visual arts), as well as projects and events, such as fairs, parades, neighborhood festivals and publications that have a strong artistic component.
The program funds projects with strong community involvement and/or outreach component. The Community Grants (CG) Program is particularly sensitive to the needs of indigenous cultural neighborhood activities and projects encouraging the preservation of heritage, traditions and culture, as well as social service organizations and cultural groups developing collaborative intervention projects using the arts.

Tourist Development Grants Program (TDC)

The Tourist Development Council grants program provides support to nonprofit and for-profit organizations presenting significant cultural or special events, including sports activities and television and film origination projects that promote Miami-Dade County’s appeal as a tourist destination.

Join the Miami Emerging Arts Leaders for an engaging conversation with John Copeland, Director of Arts & Cultural Tourism with the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau, exploring how our vibrant artists and cultural institutions play a pivotal role in shaping Miami-Dade County as a premier tourism destination. Discover how local artists, performers, and arts organizations captivate visitors from around the globe, drive the County’s creative energy and contributing to its unique status as an international arts center.

Miami-Dade County Art in Public Places, a program of the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs, is celebrating its 50th year anniversary with a panel discussion. Join us to learn about commissions of public artworks in some of Miami-Dade County’s most iconic public spaces. The panel will feature artists Michele Oka Doner, Edouard Duval-Carrié, Rosario Marquart and Roberto Behar (R & R Studios), Cristina Lei Rodriguez, Magnus Sodamin, and GeoVanna Gonzalez, and will be moderated by Jennifer Inacio, Associate Curator at Pérez Art Museum Miami and current member of the Miami-Dade County Art in Public Places Professional Advisory Committee.
