As a follow up to our ADA Summit, we want to kindly remind you that as you create/generate marketing pieces, an ADA/access statement must be included in your materials and website.
The following are examples are provided for use by cultural organizations:

CommunityWINS Grant Program
Deadline: March 18, 2016
The United States Conference of Mayors has partnered with Wells Fargo for CommunityWINS, a program providing grants to communities in support of neighborhood stabilization, economic development and job creation plans. Multiple awards totaling $3,000,000 will be disbursed; application deadline is on March 18, 2016. For more information, visit www.usmayors.org.
KNIGHT ARTS CHALLENGE
Application Period: April 4 - May 2, 2016
Are you ready? Starting April 4, the Knight Arts Challenge will open for applications, offering a share of $8 million to the best ideas for the arts in Miami, Detroit, St. Paul and Akron.
There are a few things new about the arts challenge this year: For the first time, all four challenge cities will submit ideas during one application period: April 4 - May 2, 2016.
Also, Knight is answering your questions in more ways this year, through Community Conversations with Knight staff and past grantees, in addition to office hours, where one-on-one feedback about your application will be provided. The list of Miami events is below; check it out and RSVP.
One thing, though, remains the same. There are three simple rules for submissions, and they are:
1. The idea must be about arts.
2. The project has to take place in or benefit the community in which the challenge is based (i.e. Akron, Detroit, Miami or St. Paul).
3. You must find other funding to match the Knight Foundation grant.
Attend an upcoming Community Conversation, to gain insights on the challenge from Knight Foundation staff and former winners. They are:

Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs Joins Americans for the Arts' National Study of the Economic Impact of Spending by Nonprofit Arts and Culture Organizations and Their Audiences
The AEP5 study is being conducted by Americans for the Arts, the nation's leading nonprofit organization for advancing the arts in America. Americans for the Arts has conducted similar economic impact studies in more than 400 U.S. communities since 1994. Their methodology is sound. In fact, their economic impact data is used consistently by the Congressional Arts Caucus on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives to support federal arts support.

FLORIDA HUMANITIES COUNCIL
New Grant Deadlines
The Florida Humanities Council has announced new grant deadlines for community organizations interested in designing and implementing a variety of public humanities projects.
Mini Grants - up to $5,000
Deadlines: April 1, 2016 and June 1, 2016
Mini Grants provide financial support for the planning and implementation of public humanities programs and resources that meet the needs and interests of local communities. Projects may include lecture series and panel discussions, reading and discussion groups, film series, oral history projects, exhibitions, and the development of cultural resources that complement public programming.
Museum on Main Street - up to $5,000
Deadline: March 11, 2016
The program provides high-quality Smithsonian exhibits to small communities. Two-year contracts are available to small museums, libraries, historical societies and other interested small cultural organizations that would like to host the traveling Smithsonian exhibition, The Way We Worked.
