As announced last month, the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs launched the Miami Individual Artists (MIA) Stipend Program with the support of American Rescue Plan Act funds through the National Endowment for the Arts.

The MIA Program provides artistic fees and stipends on a competitive basis for the production of performances, presentations, exhibitions, workshops, research, and/or the creation of artwork to professional artists in Miami-Dade County.
Recognizing and celebrating these important contributions by artists of all disciplines including dance, film, folk, literary arts, music, theater, visual arts and multidisciplinary, the MIA Program encourages applications from diverse artists of all backgrounds demonstrating a sustained commitment to their practice and a recognized body of original work.
Our community of artists are the foundation for our creative life, making Miami-Dade County one of the world’s most dynamic and diverse places on the planet.
