APPLY TO PRESENT YOUR WORK AT  THE DANCE/USA
2015 ANNUAL CONFERENCE PERFORMANCE SHOWCASE

Application Deadline: Next Monday, January 19, 2015

Professional dance organizations/choreographers are invited to apply to present their work during the 2015 Dance/USA Annual Conference held in Miami on June 17-20, 2015. Dance/USA's Annual Conference brings together each year a broad cross-section of dance professionals -- artists, agents, executive directors, emerging artist leaders, managers and presenters - from all over the nation to discuss important issues challenging the field.  At the 2015 Conference, more than 500 dance professionals will gather for four days in Miami to network, attend performances, engage in creative conversations and participate in enriching training sessions.  Conference attendees come to ignite conversations, examine accessibility and opportunities, gain tools and practices and be inspired, together, to advance the art form of dance -- both in business and on stage!

SURPRISING FINDINGS IN THREE NEW NEA REPORTS ON THE ARTS

Exploration into who participates and why, as well as the arts as an economic engine

Three reports from the National Endowment for the Arts reveal new findings about the impact of arts and cultural industries on GDP, as well as how and why Americans participate in certain arts activities. The data for the three reports is all from 2012, so for the first time the NEA can show a comprehensive view of a single year in the life of the arts and cultural sector from three different angles: supply, demand, and motivations for consumer behavior. The new information will help arts providers and others more effectively understand and develop strategies to engage individuals and communities in the arts.
