Tourist Development Council Grants Program (TDC)

A quarterly program which provides support to significant cultural and/or special events, including sports activities and television/film origination projects that promote Miami-Dade County’s appeal as a tourist destination. Activities must be able to stimulate tourism and have significant media impact for Miami-Dade County.

PNC Arts Alive: Southeast Florida Grant Program
Deadline Friday, August 12, 2022 at 5 PM
PNC Bank is offering grants to not-for-profit arts organizations in Miami-Dade County. PNC Arts Alive is a multi-million dollar initiative by the PNC Foundation designed to support visual and performing arts organizations. The goal is to increase engagement in the arts and to make the arts more accessible to diverse audiences in Southeast Florida. The 2022 Southeast Florida funding period begins on November 1, 2022 and ends on October 31, 2023. To learn more about the grant or to apply, click here. Miami Beach Visitor and Convention Authority
Tourism Advancement Program
First Period Projects: October 1, 2022 – January 31, 2023
The Miami Beach Visitor and Convention Authority (MBVCA) is currently accepting grant applications for special events, promotions, activities and festivals which will stimulate tourism by increasing hotel occupancy and will have significant media impact for Miami Beach between October 1, 2022 and January 31, 2023 in the following categories: Development Opportunities, Major One Time Special Event, Special Events Recurring, Special Projects, Special Projects Recurring, and Tourism Partnerships.
Interested applicants must:
• Meet with MBVCA Administration by Monday, August 15, 2022;
• Project Information and Required Grant Criteria must be submitted for review by Monday, August 22, 2022 by 3:00 PM;
• Submit draft application and application attachments by Friday, Wednesday, August 31, 2022 by 3:00 PM; and
• Submit final completed application to the MBVCA offices by Wednesday, September 7, 2022 by 12:00 PM.
Eligibility into each grant category requires approval by the MBVCA Administrator.

Funding Arts Network Grantee Workshop

The Funding Arts Network Grantee Workshop will provide an overview of the 2023-2024 grant process and will include a question-and-answer session. Applicants are encouraged to attend as this year there will be changes to the application process. RSVP in advance by sending your name, organization, email address and phone number to vpgrants@fundingartsnetwork.org.
Step 1 Application will be due on Friday, October 10.

Eligibility: Open to professional visual artists based in the USA
Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs through its Art in Public Places Program and the Miami-Dade Internal Services Department request qualifications from professional artists and/or artist teams to commission artworks for the new Civil and Probate Courthouse of Miami-Dade County. Grove Central Development
Request for Qualifications Deadline: Friday, September 23, 2022, 11:59 PM
Budget: $1,122,000.00
Eligibility: Artists based in South Florida. Eligible artists create artwork on a regular basis for a duration of time in South Florida.
Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs through its Art in Public Places Program and Miami-Dade County Department of Transportation and Public Works with partners Terra, Grass River Property, RSP Architects, and Touzet Studio request qualifications from professional artists and/or artist teams to commission artworks for the Grove Central development at the Coconut Grove Metrorail Station. Knight New Work 2022 - Deadline August 29, 2022
Technology enables arts practitioners to develop new modes of expression, and to create works that immerse and reach broader audiences, ultimately strengthening community ties. Knight New Work 2022 is a call for proposals that will provide up to $500,000 to support South Florida-area artists of all genres who use technology in their practice to create, disseminate and enhance the way art is experienced.
Knight New Work 2022 is open to individual artists, collectives and art organizations. Applicants must be based in or have direct ties to South Florida; proposed works must premiere in South Florida and all works must incorporate technology. Proposals will be accepted through August 29 at 11:59 PM ET. Apply here.
