The Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs has released guidelines and deadline schedules for the spring cycle fiscal year 2020-2021 spring cycle of arts and cultural grants programs available to Miami-Dade County based non-profit cultural groups. The South Florida Cultural Consortium (SFCC) announces twelve (12) awards to preeminent South Florida artists through its 2017-2018 Visual and Media Artists Program. The Consortium is an alliance of the arts councils of Broward, Martin, Miami-Dade, Monroe and Palm Beach Counties which awards grants among the largest grants awarded to visiual and media artists in the United States.

The From Scratch – Festival of Staged Readings offers the first glimpse of new works by Miami playwrights before they reach the stage on August 22-23, 2015, part of the Department's Playwright Development Program.

The Artist Access Grant Program provides funding support for practicing, professional and emerging artists residing in Miami-Dade County to take advantage of specific professional development and skill-building opportunities (outside Miami-Dade County) to help advance their careers as working artists. Funds may be used to cover attendance at advanced workshops, master classes, or seminars; to participate in artist residencies; to engage in activities that are specifically capable of advancing or propelling a professional career; etc. Grant awards range from $100 to $1,000.

(Miami – July 19, 2013) The Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs is hosting four “Meet the Grantmakers” regional town hall / resource fairs to introduce community non-profit groups to the full range of grant opportunities and outreach resources available to them. Starting on August 5, 2013, participants will receive helpful information and in-person assistance, and learn about the array of funding opportunities, programs, and services offered by Miami-Dade County's Department of Cultural Affairs and Office of Management and Budget - Grants Coordination.
