The Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs has launched the Miami-Dade Arts Support Action Center to keep the cultural community informed about the County's CARES Act Coronavirus Relief Fund opportunities for cultural businesses, artists and artist-entrepreneurs in response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. In response to these alarming effects of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic the Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners and Mayor approved $10 million in CARES Act relief funds to support the arts and cultural business sector. The resolution was initiated by County Commissioner Eileen Higgins, championed by Commissioner Dennis Moss, and approved by the Board of County Commissioners and Mayor. We are excited to launch the Miami-Dade Arts Support (MAS) program to help arts and cultural organizations and artists address the negative financial hardships faced.

Grants for Arts Organizations - Miami-Dade Arts Support (MAS) Grants Program
Guidelines for the new Miami-Dade Arts Support (MAS) grants program for arts and cultural organizations are posted online. This week cultural organizations that receive annual operating support will be notified of maximum funding request amount available for their eligible expenses. Organizations that do not currently receive annual support should click here for details and application process. Application deadline is August 31, 2020.

Workshops for Organizations
The new Miami-Dade Arts Support (MAS) Program is wholly funded by the federal CARES Act. To assist organizations with the application process, we are hosting a series of mandatory workshops for cultural organizations beginning August 14th. Grants for Artists - Miami-Dade Artists Support! (MÁS!) Grants Program
The Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs is activating round two of the Miami-Dade Artists Support! (MÁS!) Program. The program will provide up to a maximum of $500 per artist, available to artists of all disciplines, artist-entrepreneurs and cultural "gig" workers who have been negatively impacted by COVID-19. Coronavirus Financial Impact Assessment Tools
The Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs launched a two-part tool kit in response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic: the COVID-19 Financial Impact Tracker (CO-FIT) and the COVID-19 Survey of Impact on Miami-Dade County's Cultural Community (CO-SIC). The survey was used collect data on revenue losses, jobs affected and increased expenses attributable to COVID-19 for March through August 2020.
