Bianca González serves as the Collection Manager for Art in Public Places (APP), a division of the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs. In her role, Bianca is dedicated to enhancing the cultural landscape of the community through collaborations with artists, qualified vendors, and stakeholders to successfully implement public art projects.

Her multifaceted responsibilities encompass overseeing the maintenance and restoration efforts of the APP collection, which boasts a wide range of artworks throughout Miami-Dade County. Bianca actively sources specialized vendors with expertise in various conservation techniques. She conducts thorough field assessments to evaluate the condition of the artworks. In addition to her assessment duties, Bianca prepares comprehensive reports that outline specific maintenance needs for each artwork, assisting in the strategic planning of conservation efforts. Her organizational skills extend to maintaining meticulous artist records in the APP databases, ensuring that all information is current and easily accessible for future reference.

Bianca possesses a wide range of experience in arts management, having worked at various art institutions, including private galleries, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, ArtNexus Magazine, and Artnet Auctions. She has extensive knowledge of both the fine art and business industries, with a background in research and development, art valuation, curating, collection management, and administrative areas. Bianca earned a Master’s Degree in Art Business from Sotheby’s Institute of Art and holds Bachelor’s Degrees in Art History and Mass Communication from Florida International University. She is fluent in Spanish.
