Official Event Program: Art Basel Miami Beach
Join the Miami Emerging Arts Leaders for Art in Public Places of the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs' tour of site-specific commissions, exhibitions and art acquisitions at the new Osvaldo N. Soto Miami-Dade Justice Center. Experience new monumental and integrated public artworks at the iconic new Courthouse in Downtown Miami.
New site-specific commissions include those by Loriel Beltrán, Edouard Duval-Carrié, Loni Johnson, Karen Rifas, Morel Doucet, Beverly Acha, Tomm El-Saieh, Philip Smith, Jennifer Basile, Onajide Shabaka, Laura Tanner, and others. The tour also includes 90 additional acquisitions installed throughout the facility.
This event serves as the final Miami Emerging Arts Leaders event of 2025 and commemorates the 20th anniversary of MEAL. Join us to discover how public art shapes Miami-Dade’s built environment, meet the team behind the Art in Public Places program, and connect with the artists who help make our community vibrant and beautiful.
