Mark Steinberg and Dennis Edwards Steinberg
Mark Steinberg and Dennis Edwards have been exemplary leaders, hard-working volunteers and generous philanthropists in Miami’s cultural community for 40 years, individually and as a couple. Their love of dance grew early in their relationship when Mark served as the Board President of Miami City Ballet for four years and Dennis was the Marketing Manager. Since then, they helped found Maximum Dance Company, Ballet Gamonet and Dance for Life Miami and have supported countless dance companies and artists. Dennis currently serves on the board of Armour Dance Theatre, where he has been Treasurer for more than 20 years. They both served many years on the statewide Board of the Florida Cultural Alliance and were frequent grant panelists for the state and county's cultural programming. Mark was on the board of ACME Acting Company, while Dennis served on the board of Area Stage. Dennis was on the Foundation Board of New World School of the Arts for eight years, four of them as Chair. He has also led the grants panel for Citizens Interested in Arts. Mark and Dennis created the Dennis Edwards & Mark Steinberg Foundation in 2005, focusing their philanthropy on arts, education and LGBTQ causes. A powerhouse couple, Mark and Dennis continue to inspire many to join them in supporting the cultural ecosystem in Miami-Dade County and the State of Florida.
