MIAMI INDIVIDUAL ARTISTS (MIA) GRANTS PROGRAM

The Miami Individual Artists (MIA) Grants Program provides non-matching awards to individual artists of all disciplines in Miami-Dade County on a competitive basis to support their artistic development and practice. In recognition of the contributions of Miami-Dade’s outstanding artists to the fundamental vitality and creativity of our cultural community, the MIA Grants Program strongly encourages applications from professional artists of the highest caliber with a recognized body of original artwork, and who are deeply rooted in Miami’s diverse cultural life.

Please note that awards are taxable. If awarded, it is strongly recommended that the selected artist consult their own tax advisor or the Internal Revenue Service to determine their tax liability.

PRE-SUBMISSION WORKSHOPS

Workshops will be offered via Zoom Webinar and In-Person to review the program’s guidelines, application form and answer questions:

• Monday, February 3, 2025 at 12:00 PM (Register here)
• Friday, February 14, 2025 at 10:00 AM (Register here)
• Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at 3:00 PM (Register here)
• Thursday, February 27, 2025 at 12:00 PM (Register here)

The workshop is optional; however, interested artists are strongly encouraged to attend.

HOW TO APPLY

Applications open on Monday, February 3, 2025. Applications are accepted online through Submittable (it’s free to register and use). Click the button below to begin.

Attending a workshop is highly recommended, but not required. A consultation with the program administrator is not required to apply. Please make sure to attend a Q&A workshop before scheduling a consultation, as most questions will be addressed during the program workshop.
