Development Project Manager

The Development Project Manager provides support to the VP of Development and coordinates all board and committee meetings, and executes development special events and projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Will partner with the VP of Development and Director of Development in implementing successful campaigns, membership programs and contributor events.
  • Manage all aspects of meeting logistics for the VP of Development and the Foundation Board.
  • Work with the Development Department in creating strategic fundraising strategies.
  • Assist the VP of Development in calendar management.
  • Formulate reports, correspondences, proposals and PowerPoint presentations as needed.
  • Will spearhead and coordinate all development special events across all involved departments.
  • Accurately generate and deliver agendas, minutes, memos, reports, and board packets.
  • Assist the VP of Development in drafting, proofreading, and signing of letters, confidential papers, etc.
  • Manage and coordinate business trip scheduling within budgetary requirements.
  • Will respond promptly to all phone calls, inquiries and return email with accuracy and courtesy.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to establish rapport with a wide range of constituents including donors, patrons and staff.
  • Strong project management and organization skills
  • Able to effectively and efficiently multitask, set priorities, shift priorities, and adapt to change.
  • Able to use discretion in handling highly confidential projects and communications.
  • Proficient in Windows based programs, including Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Raiser’s Edge software.
  • Able to work independently and as a member of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to exhibit a professional and corporate demeanor, with tact and courtesy, in all situations.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to use excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English.
  • Able to work effectively and positively with others.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • BA: Business or any equivalent combination of experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
