The Group Sales Coordinator assists the Director of Sales in cultivating, implementing, and supervising a Group Sales program that will maximize sales opportunities, provide customers with premiere service, increase revenue, and support the Performing Arts Center Authority's (PACA) reputation as a first rate performing arts organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Will develop and maintain ongoing communication with groups (i.e., email, presentations, special events, etc.) that will keep them informed, create interest in events, and generate sales.
- Will identify new group opportunities using all available resources.
- Will independently create and deliver presentations to current and potential Groups Sales groups and contacts.
- Will identify and attend events that will keep Group Sales current strategies and programs.
- Will support the development of strategies to acquire new information into the mailing database.
- Will be responsible for accurate input of all information into the mailing database.
- Will design information and accurate marketing pieces for distribution.
- Will manage the Group Sales contract process, including creating, collecting, mailing and filing.
- Will process tickets for contracts and concierges.
- Will assist in the administration of all components of the payment process.
- Will balance end-of-day reports.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Able to effectively supervise and develop Group Sales staff.
- Able to prepare and give effective presentations.
- Skilled in Windows based programs, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Able to use ticketing software.
- Able to exhibit a professional and corporate demeanor when interacting with members of the public in a variety of situations.
- Able to communicate effectively, both verbal and written, in English.
- Able to multitask, set priorities, shift priorities, and adapt to changes in situations.
- Knowledgeable of local businesses and contacts.
- Able to work effectively and positively with others.
Required Education and Experience
- BA/BS or Higher: Business/Marketing/Sales/or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Customer service experience in a call center and/or sales environment.
