The Cultural Advancement (ADV) Grants Program operates on a three-year review cycle with a pre-application qualification and invitation to apply, comprehensive application submission, and a panel review completed in the first year (FY 2023-2024) and a more streamlined application form and review process for the subsequent two years (FY 2024-2025 and FY 2025-2026).

ADV provides significant grants and technical assistance to a designated group of Miami-Dade County's mid to large size, artistically excellent and culturally diverse performing, and visual, literary and presenting arts organizations. Qualifying organizations are engaged year-round in the creation or presentation of art, within or across artistic fields and disciplines, and demonstrate the potential to achieve regional, national, or international visibility as evidenced by current artistic programs and management structure.

Provides grants to professional, mid to large size arts organizations for the year-round creation or presentation of art. Applicants must have a historical organizational budget over $500,000.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR RETURNING APPLICANTS:  Returning applicants will have the option to submit a completed application, including all required support materials, no later than one full calendar week in advance of the grant program’s published application deadline for a thorough “Courtesy Review” by the Program Administrator. Returning applicants who waive their option for a Courtesy Review and submit their applications by the grant program’s published deadline will receive a technical sufficiency review only. Applications received from first-time applicants by the grant program’s published application deadline will be reviewed by the Program Administrator and are exempt of meeting the program’s Courtesy Review deadline.
