Community Grants Program (CG)

A quarterly program for nonprofit organizations developing community-based cultural programs, projects and events, such as fairs, parades, neighborhood festivals, conferences and publications. The program funds projects with strong community involvement and/or outreach component. The CG Program is particularly sensitive to the needs of indigenous cultural neighborhood activities and projects encouraging the preservation of heritage, traditions and culture, as well as social service organizations and cultural groups developing collaborative intervention projects using the arts.

CreARTE Grants Program - Deadline May 26, 2023

The Jorge M. Pérez Family Foundation at The Miami Foundation aims to develop South Florida as a world-class urban center. A thriving, equitable arts community is essential to making Greater Miami a vibrant, connected and culturally engaging place to live. The Pérez CreARTE Grant Program is accepting grant applications through May 26, 2023, and will award grants in three main areas of focus:

  • Arts Access: Funding to support meaningful and diverse public engagement with, and access to, various forms of high-quality art across Greater Miami and the integration of the arts into the fabric of community life.
  • Arts Education: Funding to support high-performing, innovative organizations in Greater Miami working to ensure that all young people have equitable access to arts education opportunities.
  • Artist Fellowships and Residencies: Funding to support the creation and/or expansion of artist fellowship and residency programs to expand local options for artistic professionals to hone their talents and showcase their work.

Miami Open For Business

Deadline May 31, 2023

The Miami Foundation launched the Miami Open for Business program, fueled by a $20 million grant from Wells Fargo. The Foundation’s largest grant program to date supports historically underserved minority-led small businesses and nonprofits and provides between $100-$20K ​ through funding and loans to purchase hardware, software, machinery, and equipment. Corral & Cathers Artist Fund

DEADLINE TOMORROW - April 26, 2023

Established by Coral Gables resident and founder of Mosaicist, Inc. Ray Corral, and Catherine Cathers, arts advocate, the Corral & Cathers Artist Fund at the Coral Gables Community Foundation serves to recognize and support regional artists with grants to further their professional development and skill in a variety of visual disciplines and mediums. The Corral & Cathers Artist Fund encourages artists who have dedicated their lives to developing their art. Grants are intended to assist with artistic exploration, supplies, exhibits, project-related expenses, residences, artistic professional development and opportunities. The Corral & Cathers Artist Fund supports professional artists and thus does not fund organizations, educational institutions or students.  The deadline is April 26th at 11:59 p.m. Apply here.

Doral Branch Library – Call to Artists

Request for Qualifications Deadline: Monday, May 15, 2023, 11:59PM

Budget: $105,000.00

Eligibility: Open to professional visual artists based in south Florida

The Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs through its Art in Public Places Program and the Miami-Dade County Public Library System request qualifications from professional artists and/or artist teams to commission artworks for the new Doral Branch Library. View Call to Artists.


Oolite Arts

The Ellies - Deadline May 17, 2023

Oolite Arts’ The Ellies are awards for Miami-Dade visual artists to realize a significant project that will advance their careers. The awards are offered in four categories to support Miami-Dade working and emerging artists, art educators, and established, professionally accomplished artists. Awards range from $2,500 upwards to $75,000. The four awards are the Creator Awards, Teacher Travel Grants, the Michael Richards Award, and the Social Justice Award.

The new Miami-Dade Cultural Resource Directory online connect arts organizations and the public, serving as a searchable database with free listings of potential cultural partners as well as important resources, such as local arts funders, art-centric businesses and service organizations to support the cultural community. The powerful tool also enables cultural organizations to catalogue and promote themselves, their organizations or facilities and informs the general public, visitors and audiences as to the wide range of cultural activities available to them in Miami-Dade County.  Submit a free listing to be included here.
