Join the Miami Emerging Arts Leaders for an engaging conversation with John Copeland, Director of Arts & Cultural Tourism with the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau on leveraging Miami’s tourism industry to grow audiences and increase marketing impact. About John Copeland, Director of Arts & Cultural Tourism, Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau

John Copeland joined the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau in 2018 and leads these efforts through strategic development and implementation of cultural tourism programs that expand global awareness of Miami-Dade County’s art and culture assets. Helping to drive incremental attendance at local arts and culture institutions, events and attractions, John leverages his extensive marketing, partnership development and education background to further the goals of the GMCVB.


Hosted by the Miami Emerging Arts Leaders, a program of the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs, with support from the Arts and Business Council of Miami and the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Celebrating its 20th Anniversary, the Miami Emerging Arts Leaders is an initiative of the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs to identify and cultivate the next generation of diverse arts leaders in our community. Since 2004, the Miami Emerging Arts Leaders have provided networking and resource sharing opportunities to encourage diverse, emerging arts administrators to explore professional development issues and opportunities.
