The SAS-C funded camps that offer inclusion programs for children and youth with disabilities are highlighted in yellow, indicating if the program is specifically designed for children and youth with disabilities, or if the program offers an inclusion setting. All organizations that receive funding through the Summer Arts & Science Camps for Kids grant program are required to attend a workshop on including children with disabilities in their programs.
The Summer Arts & Science Camps for Kids (SAS-C) Grants Program was created as a joint initiative of the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs and The Children’s Trust. The SAS-C Grants Program is funded by The Children’s Trust. The Trust is a dedicated source of revenue established by voter referendum to improve the lives of children and families in Miami-Dade County.
