The Development Project Manager provides support to the VP of Development and coordinates all board and committee meetings, and executes development special events and projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Will partner with the VP of Development and Director of Development in implementing successful campaigns, membership programs and contributor events.
- Manage all aspects of meeting logistics for the VP of Development and the Foundation Board.
- Work with the Development Department in creating strategic fundraising strategies.
- Assist the VP of Development in calendar management.
- Formulate reports, correspondences, proposals and PowerPoint presentations as needed.
- Will spearhead and coordinate all development special events across all involved departments.
- Accurately generate and deliver agendas, minutes, memos, reports, and board packets.
- Assist the VP of Development in drafting, proofreading, and signing of letters, confidential papers, etc.
- Manage and coordinate business trip scheduling within budgetary requirements.
- Will respond promptly to all phone calls, inquiries and return email with accuracy and courtesy.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Ability to establish rapport with a wide range of constituents including donors, patrons and staff.
- Strong project management and organization skills
- Able to effectively and efficiently multitask, set priorities, shift priorities, and adapt to change.
- Able to use discretion in handling highly confidential projects and communications.
- Proficient in Windows based programs, including Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Raiser’s Edge software.
- Able to work independently and as a member of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to exhibit a professional and corporate demeanor, with tact and courtesy, in all situations.
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Ability to use excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English.
- Able to work effectively and positively with others.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- BA: Business or any equivalent combination of experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
