Stephanie M. Garcia, a Miami native, is a dedicated professional and advocate for the arts. As Cultural Programs Manager for the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs within the Director's Office, she collaborates with major cultural institutions countywide to support impactful programming and ensure public funding serves the community effectively. Her work focuses on fostering collaboration and promoting the cultural vibrancy of Miami-Dade County.

 

Stephanie holds a bachelor's degree in fine arts from New World School of the Arts (2007) and a master's degree in library and information science, along with a Certificate of Archives Management and Preservation of Cultural Heritage Materials, from Queens College, City University of New York (2016). With over 20 years of experience in administrative, curatorial, and research roles, she has worked with renowned international artists, prestigious artist estates, and private collections, including the Rubell Family Collection in Miami and the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice, Italy.

 

From 2017 to 2024, Stephanie served as Special Collections and Archives Head for the Miami-Dade Public Library System, where she supported The Vasari Project archive and advanced initiatives to preserve and share cultural heritage. Her work reflects a strong commitment to fostering accessibility and inclusion in the arts, bridging cultural and generational divides, and ensuring that diverse voices are represented and celebrated in arts programming.
