
Natasha Diaz serves as the Chief of Financial Services for the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs.
Natasha has over 20 years of dedicated experience in local government and has built a diverse portfolio within municipal services, excelling in management, budgeting, finance, procurement, project management, legislation, strategic planning, and Florida building permitting. She assists the Director in the development, implementation and management of the Department’s annual operating budget. She also assists with the oversight of County capital investments as well as investments made through the Building Better Communities General Obligation Bond.
Her public service career began with the City of Miami Beach, where she made a significant impact over a decade in the Tourism, Culture, and Economic Development department. She transitioned to the Budget and Management Department where she honed her financial expertise. Most recently, Natasha served as the Assistant Director of the City’s Building Department, a role she held for seven years, where she helped streamline operations and enhanced service delivery.
She holds a Master in Arts degree Public Administration and several professional certifications, including those in Community Development and Tourism Marketing. She also completed an Executive Education certificate in Leading Resilient Communities from Harvard, along with undergraduate studies focused on economics.
