HistoryMiami is seeking a dynamic individual to serve as a Creative/Graphic Designer. The ideal candidate will have at least five years professional experience in graphic design and branding, designing print and electronic materials. The designer must be able to develop and maintain good relationships with department staff, outside vendors and consultants including graphic artists, illustrators and printers. You must be a flexible team player who can facilitate work between departments and deliver projects on deadlines. As a member of the Communications Department, this individual will develop, execute and maintain the museum’s social media outlets including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google+ and YouTube. This position requires excellent production planning skills, superb time management and the ability to multitask, organize and facilitate a moderate volume of work. QUALIFICATIONS:
- B.A. or B.S. in Communications, English, Marketing, Graphic Design or other related discipline
- Excellent command of English written and verbal
- Superior proofreading skills
- At least five years of experience in graphic design and presentation applications in Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator
- Spanish or other second language is a plus
- Good understanding of South Florida media relations is a plus
- Video editing experience is a plus
