Animation Arts for Young Adults with ASD and I/DD is presented by the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs All Kids Included Initiative in partnership with Fantasy Theatre Factory, Inc., The Town of Miami Lakes, and The Town of Miami Lakes Special Needs Advisory Board, with funding from The Taft Foundation.

Explore the exciting world of animation arts through digital animation, writing, editing, and storyboarding!


REGISTRATION CLOSES MAY 1, 2025!

WHO:  Young adults ages 22-30 with autism spectrum disorder and related intellectual and developmental disabilities who are able to follow instructions, independently communicate and participate in a group setting.

WHEN / WHERE: 

  • Culminating Event: Saturday, (TBD)
  • Miami Lakes Town Hall, 6601 Main St, Miami Lakes, FL 33014
     

ATTENDANCE:  On time arrival, consistent attendance and participation are required in this program!
Students must commit to the entire 8-week session.


Program Fees (non-refundable)*

  • $30

*Includes reduced enrollment for student/teacher ratios, t-shirt, equipment/supplies, 8 classes, and culminating event: a combined value of nearly $800!

Special thanks to The Taft Foundation, and Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs for their generous support of Animation Arts for Young Adults which has enabled us to present this program!

Space is Limited to 12 Participants Per Session!  Students will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Submitting a registration form does not guarantee a spot in the program.  Priority is given to Miami-Dade County residents. Once program capacity is reached, individuals submitting registration forms will be placed on a waiting list.

Only registration forms that are fully completed and submitted with payment in full will be accepted for enrollment.  Program registration fees are non-refundable.

Registration Deadline:  All registration forms must be received by May 1, 2025. Payment must be made in full to secure registration.

To Register:  You must complete the registration form by May 1, 2025 for each student participating in the program.  Payment instructions will be sent out by email, in the order in which they were received.  Payment must be made in full in order to secure the student's registration in the program.
