Here is preliminary information from the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs to solicit the interest of talented architects and engineering teams to work on a design for a new African Heritage Cultural Arts Center in Liberty City. This complex would replace the existing, aged facility at its current location, 6161 NW 22nd Avenue in Miami, Florida. The new Center will be created as a 21st century complex with increased state-of-the-art capacity to offer educational programs for children and youth in all arts disciplines, to present arts and humanities events to the general public, and to continue to cultivate the work of community artists and arts organizations. The Department has secured $35 million for all capital costs to accomplish the project. More about the existing Center can be seen at https://www.ahcacmiami.org/.
Interested parties can contact the Department’s capital division for additional information on this project (email@example.com). The Department also strongly suggests that interested architectural and engineering firms become registered County vendors and obtain technical certification to be notified and be ready to bid on this and future county-wide opportunities. Information on registration and technical certification is available through the County’s Procurement division at https://www.miamidade.gov/global/business/procurement/pre-qualification-and-technical-certification-process.page.
