Miami Book Fair at Miami Dade College is looking for a Major Gifts Liaison with strong fundraising and/or sales experience in South Florida. This is a part-time contractual opportunity for someone with the right experience to join the MBF Development team.

The Major Gifts Liaison will work with the fundraising group to develop and implement successful fundraising programs and strategies focused on Major Gifts for the Miami Book Fair’s 35th Anniversary Campaign.

Scope of Work

The Major Gifts Liaison will provide leadership and direction to sustainable fundraising efforts for the Miami Book Fair including identifying, soliciting, and retaining individuals who can contribute at least $5,000 annually to Miami Book Fair as part of the 35th Anniversary Campaign. The liaison will also help implement communication and marketing strategies to support major fundraising efforts as well as create campaign measurement tools and strategies to help us effectively track fundraising efforts and ensure goals are being met.

The goal of this position is to successfully increase the amount of revenue generated and increase the number of donors and sponsors to Miami Book Fair and the Liaison should have strong experience (at least 5 – 7 years) in sales or fundraising as well as a strong and already established network in South Florida/familiarity with the South Florida funding community. Compensation is based on experience. Salary range between $3,500 - $4,500 a month.
