Mary-Margaret Dale joined the Department of Cultural Affairs in June 2016 as a Cultural Projects Administrator. In this capacity, she co-administers Culture Shock Miami, a major educational initiative dedicated to building the audiences of the future. Culture Shock Miami is a multi-faceted program that includes a discounted ticket program that enables students ages 13-22 to purchase $5 tickets to the highest quality cultural events throughout the area, as well as a presenting series featuring artists that appeal specifically to young audiences.
Relocating to South Florida from Tallahassee, Mary-Margaret was the Associate Director of Community Engagement at the FSU School of Theatre where she was responsible for developing, managing, and marketing programs that promote the value of the arts; increase awareness and participation among young audiences, as well as cultivating relationships with community organizations to enhance engagement with the arts. Prior to FSU, she was the Director of Marketing for DAVID Corporation, a San Francisco software company, where she was responsible for branding, communications, lead generation, advertising, website, social media, conferences and events.
Mary-Margaret has a BA in Communications and Theatre from The Ohio State University, and an MFA in Theatre Management from Florida State University.
